Jury Comments - Revisions for Round II

In reviewing all the entries the jury identified a number of strategies, which should inform the design process as it continues.

Provide for 65 surface parking spots, this could be in place of underground parking.
Provide for upper level spaces in buildings.
Show how all of the market programs are accommodated, with detailed plans.
Space that works during the week
Incorporate sustainable design
Crawford Park must remain in some form and contain the fireman's memorial.
The bandstand is a focal point of Farmers Market activity and needs to be relocated with that in mind.
Emphasize the contextual design as it relates to downtown Walla Walla.

Round II Entry Formats

Semi-Finalists and Honorable Mentions are eligible to compete in Round II.

Submission requirements for Round II are identical to Round I. Please refer to the Rules page for details of board formats, computer files and shipping address.

Round II submissions must be received by 5pm, Friday, 29 June 2007.
